Carburetor Idle Adjustment Screw

This carburetor idle adjustment screw is specifically designed for use with Walbro carburetors. Replacing the factory idle screw with this extended version allows for easier and more precise idle adjustments, helping you achieve the optimal RPM for launch conditions.

• During installation, the idle adjustment screw may bind against the bottom of the throttle slide, as the slide can drop slightly when the OEM screw is removed. To prevent this, simply lift the throttle slide slightly or remove it entirely before inserting the new screw. The screw should then drop in and thread easily.
• Avoid threading the screw too far in initially, as this can cause the engine to idle excessively high. Begin with small adjustments and increase gradually to reach your desired idle speed.
• In some cases, it may be necessary to thread the screw in and out a few times with the engine off. This helps the screw seat properly by lightly wearing into the contact surface of the throttle slide, ensuring smoother adjustment and consistent operation.
